Good Night, My Sweet
Hungry and drained of strength, I went into the warmth of the house where the little girl my little girl now, I reminded myself gleefully waited.
As soon as I opened the door she threw herself into my arms.
"Mommy! I was so scared. Did you find anything out there?" She asked, looking up at me with big, round eyes the colour of a summer-blue sky.
"Of course not, my sweet. Now, go back to bed and I'll tell you a story," I said.
